SOUTH KOREA, October 15, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- BICOM Inc., a South Korean research and development company, has unveiled a new line of two-way digital wireless intercoms designed for field teams that need to communicate hands-free. These intercoms, which operate in the 902-928 MHz band, allow up to 16 users to talk simultaneously without pressing a push-to-talk (PTT) button, making them ideal for various industries including construction, broadcasting, and sports.
The intercoms come in four different form factors, each tailored to specific needs. The All-in-One models, available in a dual muff, single muff, or helmet version, offer a line-of-sight range of 1 kilometer, a battery life of 17 hours, and weigh 535 grams. The Belt Pack model, which includes a headset, has a transmission output of 250 milliwatts or 1 watt, reaches a line-of-sight range of 1 kilometer, and runs for 10 hours, weighing 190 grams. The ultra-small Walkie-Talkie Type, weighing 75 grams, covers a range of 700 meters and lasts more than 10 hours.
BICOM's intercoms are equipped with advanced features to ensure clear communication and privacy. They include a noise-canceling microphone to transmit clear voice even in loud environments, and the devices have passed a vehicle noise simulator test. Noise reduction pads on the headset models help shield users from external noise. Voice is digitally encrypted to prevent eavesdropping, and dual modulation is used to avoid analog noise. Additional functions include a PA mode for connecting external speakers and an ambient sound mode that amplifies surrounding sounds when the user needs to hear what is happening nearby. The devices use an OLED display.
The intercoms operate in an environment with an operating temperature range of -10 to +50°C. BICOM positions the products for industrial sites, security guards, military bases, sports referees, tours, and broadcast staff. The company's second mode combines 15 USER devices with "Listen/PTT" units, allowing these devices to listen to the conversation and join it by pressing the PTT button. In one example, a group of 30 devices with 6 USER units allows 10 of the 24 Listen/PTT devices to join the conversation simultaneously.
