Bert McQueen Releases Book on Biblical Marriage Guidance for Pastors

Bert McQueen, a Certified Master Chaplain with four decades of experience, has released a new book aimed at providing biblical guidance for pastors navigating the sacred covenant of marriage. Titled "What Every Pastor Should Know About Marriage," the book addresses a critical gap in ministerial training and offers an examination of Scripture in proper context, particularly focusing on Ephesians 5:22-25.

McQueen founded and directed two nonprofit ministries in Alaska, including the Alaska Trauma Center and the Alaska Police and Fire Chaplains Ministries, and holds advanced degrees in Counseling, Chaplaincy, and Social Work. His service earned him recognition for Outstanding Civic Achievement from Anchorage and the President's Volunteer Service Award in 2020. Despite his impressive credentials, McQueen's writing was motivated by the painful failures of pastor friends whose marriages had crumbled, leading them to abandon their sacred calling.

In the book, McQueen shares his journey of spiritual growth, beginning in 1983 when he started asking God to expose areas requiring spiritual improvement. Through over a dozen years of dedicated study and application, he discovered God's absolute principles for marital harmony. The book provides scriptural foundations for healthy marriage, highlighting that mutual submission, not mere female deference, forms the bedrock of lasting partnerships. McQueen also emphasizes the importance of husbands embodying sacrificial love modeled after Christ.
