Benton Resources Discovers High-Grade Gold at Rickirb Zone

Benton Resources Inc. has announced the discovery of high-grade gold at the Rickirb gold zone within its Dominion project in Newfoundland. The company received assay results from channel sampling, revealing gold values up to 30.53 grams per tonne (g/t Au). The sampling was conducted over an intermittent strike length of 210 meters, with trenches excavated and sampled across this zone, which remains open to the northeast and southwest.

Three trenches were excavated, each showing significant gold values. Trench #1, measuring 45 meters in length and 8 to 15 meters in width, produced multiple samples with anomalous gold values. Notably, Line 8 in this trench returned 2.0 meters of 8.00 g/t Au, including 0.5 meters of 30.53 g/t Au. Trench #2, 15 meters in length and 12 meters in width, returned 3.7 meters of 4.20 g/t Au, with 0.9 meters of 15.29 g/t Au. Trench #3, 25 meters in length and 16 meters in width, produced results consistent with the other trenches.

The Rickirb gold zone is described as a steeply-dipping, intensely silica and carbonate altered quartz-feldspar porphyry (QFP) hosted in an intense shear zone. The mineralization consists of significant quartz stockwork overprinted by shear-related veining, with individual veins reaching up to 1 meter in width. The zone ranges from 5 meters to 12 meters in width, containing 2 to 10 percent pyrite, with local higher concentrations and minor galena.

Benton Resources Inc. initiated a larger trenching and channel sampling program in August 2026, with 12 trenches completed and over 200 samples collected. The company plans to continue exploration across its extensive property, which includes the new Ellie Zone, showing signs of intense alteration, silicification, quartz veining, and base metal-rich massive sulphides. President and CEO Stephen Stares expressed enthusiasm about the new discovery, stating, "Our exploration team is extremely pleased with this extraordinary new gold discovery within our prospective Dominion project."

The Dominion project was acquired by Benton Resources Inc. in 2024, following the availability of a large parcel of land for staking. The company has since accumulated a large and highly prospective land position, with the Rickirb Zone representing a significant new gold system.
