SEATTLE, Oct. 13, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- BECU, Washington's largest credit union, has announced the distribution of $4 million through its Right Now Grants program, the largest grant distribution in the history of the BECU Foundation. This one-time funding, awarded in September, will support local nonprofit and credit union partners in advancing financial well-being across the communities BECU serves.
The grants will focus on expanding opportunity and strengthening communities through initiatives in housing stability, education, workforce development, food security, and access to financial services. This move comes in response to the affordability pressures faced by communities, with more than one-third of Washington households struggling to afford basic living expenses.
The grants will run from October 1, 2026, through October 1, 2027.
The Right Now Grants program builds on BECU's longstanding commitment to financial well-being. In 2025, BECU invested $425.7 million in financial value to its members through competitive rates and fewer fees.
