Vancouver, British Columbia, The British Columbia Environment Industry Association (BCEIA) and the Environmental Managers Association (EMA) of BC are partnering once again to present the fourth annual Emerging Professionals event on November 25, 2026. This year’s event, which will take place at Bae Side False Creek in Vancouver, marks a significant milestone for the growing community of environmental professionals in British Columbia.
Launched in 2022 by former BCEIA Board Member & Business Development Chair Esma Al-Autman and former EMA of BC Vice President of Marketing Andrea Rivers, the event has seen consistent growth. With three sold-out editions, the organizers are excited to expand this year’s event, making it more accessible to a broader audience. The Emerging Professionals event will now include more attendees, including students, mentors, and environmental leaders from across the province.
This year’s event will be part of Canada Climate Week Xchange (CCWX), a significant platform for climate action and environmental initiatives. The inclusion in CCWX underscores the importance of fostering connections between emerging professionals and established environmental leaders. John Hibbard, President of BCEIA, expressed enthusiasm about the event’s continued growth and its role in building stronger connections within the environmental community.
BCEIA and EMA of BC bring complementary professional communities to the collaboration. BCEIA connects BC’s environment industry through networking, education, advocacy, and professional development, while EMA of BC provides a forum for environmental professionals to exchange knowledge, experiences, and lessons learned.
The event will take place on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bae Side False Creek in Vancouver. Registration opens on October 9, 2026, and can be accessed via the BCEIA Events Calendar webpage: bceia.com/events/calendar#id=201&wid=1601&cid=1941.
The event aims to create an accessible space for the next generation of environmental professionals to build their networks, learn from established leaders, and become more connected to BC’s environmental community. With BCEIA and EMA of BC partnering once again and the event joining CCWX for the first time, the 2026 edition represents an exciting next chapter for the program.
