Barton Gold Holdings Limited has secured a significant milestone for its Tunkillia Gold Project, with the approval of its Environmental Scoping Report by the Department for Energy & Mining (DEM) in South Australia. This approval marks a crucial first step in the company's process for obtaining development approvals and sets the official terms of reference for future steps.

The report, which was developed in collaboration with the South Australian government, outlines the environmental, social, and community considerations that will guide the project's development. Barton Gold has been working closely with the government and local stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all necessary requirements. The approval serves as a key reference document, enabling the company to proceed with defined environmental studies and community engagement programs.

According to Barton Gold's Managing Director, Alexander Scanlon, "The approval of the environmental Scoping Report is a significant achievement for the Tunkillia project. It provides us with a clear roadmap and reduces the uncertainty associated with the development process. We are now well positioned to move forward with the necessary studies and programs."

The company has also announced the completion of a substantial drilling program, which involved over 58,000 meters of Resource upgrade drilling. These efforts have yielded positive results in some zones, offering potential for increased mineralization. Scanlon noted, "We are excited about the outcomes from our recent drilling and look forward to sharing the final assays and Resource updates in due course."

Barton Gold is targeting the publication of its Ore Reserves and a Pre-feasibility Study (PFS) during the first quarter of 2027. These documents will provide a comprehensive analysis of the project's potential, including economic and technical feasibility. The company is also preparing to submit its Mining Lease application shortly after the PFS is published.

The Tunkillia Gold Project is located in the Gawler Craton of South Australia, an area renowned for its gold deposits. Barton Gold holds 100% ownership of the project and has previously reported JORC Mineral Resource Estimates of 2.2 million ounces of gold and 3.1 million ounces of silver. These estimates are based on 79.9 million metric tons of material at an average grade of 0.87 grams per tonne of gold.

Scanlon expressed gratitude to the South Australian Government and other stakeholders for their collaborative approach. "We look forward to working closely with our Native Title partners and regional communities to develop this important regional project. Our goal is to advance Tunkillia toward development as quickly as possible, while maintaining a commitment to responsible environmental and social practices."

The approval of the environmental Scoping Report is a critical step in Barton Gold's plan to bring the Tunkillia project to fruition. The company remains committed to its objectives and is well-positioned to continue its development efforts in South Australia.
