Barton Gold Holdings Limited has announced the discovery of a new high-grade mineralised zone within the shallow central portion of its existing high-value ‘Starter Pit’ at the Tunkillia Gold Project in South Australia. The company's latest reverse circulation (RC) drilling, part of Phase 2 of the resource upgrade, has confirmed the presence of broad, shallow high-grade infill assays, potentially increasing the grade profile of the mineralisation.

According to Barton Gold Holdings Limited, the new findings are part of the ongoing efforts to upgrade the mineral resource estimates at the Tunkillia Gold Project. The company is awaiting the final batch of assays from the recent 39,000 meters of drilling. Upon receipt, the company will prepare comprehensive cross sections and progress to the gold and silver JORC Mineral Resource Estimates (MRE).

Managing Director Alexander Scanlon commented, "The infill drilling assays continue to surprise to the upside, providing further support for a new ‘bonus' zone of high-grade mineralisation. This could potentially enhance the grade profile of the mineralisation for Tunkillia's upcoming pre-feasibility study (PFS)."

The company is advancing the Tunkillia project through pre-development programs, following recent government approval of its environmental Scoping Report as a first step in its Mining Lease application processes. The PFS, along with the Mineral Resource updates, is expected to be completed in the first quarter of calendar year 2027.

Barton Gold Holdings Limited currently holds a robust model of economic returns for the Tunkillia project, with a total JORC (2012) Mineral Resource estimate of 2.2 million ounces of gold and 3.1 million ounces of silver across 79.9 million tonnes at an average grade of 0.87 grams per tonne of gold. The project is located in the renowned Gawler Craton of South Australia and benefits from 100% ownership of the region's only gold mill.

The company's next steps include completing the gold and silver MRE updates, advancing the PFS, and submitting a Mining Lease application. These developments are expected to significantly impact the project's economic viability and pave the way for future gold production.

Barton Gold Holdings Limited remains committed to its goal of achieving 150,000 ounces of gold per annum, with a total of 1,049,000 ounces of gold and 3,070,000 ounces of silver in the JORC Mineral Resources. The company's progress at Tunkillia continues to demonstrate the potential for significant value creation in the gold sector.
