BEIJING, Sept. 4, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Baidu, Inc., a leading artificial intelligence company, announced on September 4, 2026, that its Class A ordinary shares will be included in the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect program, effective September 7, 2026. This inclusion comes pursuant to a Notice from the Shanghai Stock Exchange adjusting the eligible stocks in the Hong Kong Stock Connect program.

With this move, Chinese mainland investors will have direct access to Baidu’s Class A ordinary shares through the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect. According to Baidu, this inclusion marks an important step in expanding its reach among Chinese mainland investors and is expected to further diversify its investor base and enhance the liquidity of its shares.

Founded in 2000, Baidu’s mission is to simplify the complex world through technology. The company trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker BIDU and on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) under the tickers 9888 (in Hong Kong dollars) and 89888 (in Renminbi). One Baidu American Depositary Receipt (ADR) represents eight Class A ordinary shares.

The Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect program was established in 2014 to facilitate the two-way trading of securities between the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It allows qualified Chinese mainland investors to access eligible Hong Kong-listed shares while permitting Hong Kong and overseas investors to trade eligible A-shares.

Baidu expressed appreciation for the continued support of its shareholders and investors, stating its commitment to driving sustainable growth and creating long-term value for its shareholders.

The announcement also included a forward-looking statement, noting that various factors could impact actual results, including Baidu's growth strategies, future business development, the ability to attract and retain users and customers, competition in the Chinese Internet search and newsfeed market, and changes in revenue and certain cost or expense items.
