Azenta repays $35 million secured vendor loan from B Medical Systems sale

BURLINGTON, Mass., Sept. 4, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Azenta, Inc. (Nasdaq: AZTA) has completed the full repayment of a $35 million secured vendor loan, which was part of the sale of B Medical Systems S.à r.l. to Thelema S.à r.l. on July 1, 2026. The transaction marks a significant step in Azenta’s ongoing strategy to manage its capital resources and support its growth initiatives.

As part of the deal, Azenta Germany GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Azenta, entered into a Vendor Loan Agreement with Thelema S.à r.l. The agreement involved Azenta Germany providing a secured term loan to Thelema S.à r.l. in the amount of $35 million. The loan was secured by a pledge over the equity interests of B Medical Systems. With the repayment of the loan, Azenta has now received the entire $63 million purchase price in cash, effectively retiring the credit exposure associated with the transaction.
