Avanti Gold Corp. has announced the results of its ongoing 2026 Phase I drilling program at the Akyanga Deposit, part of the company's Misisi Gold Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The latest round of drilling has intersected multiple zones of gold mineralization, both within and below the current pit shell used to constrain the Akyanga Mineral Resource Estimate.

According to the company, the drilling program has returned several significant intercepts, including: - MSDD0151 returned 5.70 meters at 8.01 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 268.10 meters, including 1.70 meters at 23.47 g/t gold from 269.10 meters. - MSDD0152 returned 13.60 meters at 2.00 g/t gold from 86.00 meters, including 0.48 meters at 31.06 g/t gold from 87.70 meters. - MSDD0153, which is still partial, returned 11.50 meters at 6.50 g/t gold from 166.30 meters, including 1.40 meters at 12.68 g/t gold and 3.00 meters at 11.99 g/t gold.

These results provide additional geological and grade information on the distribution and geometry of mineralization at Akyanga.

The drilling program is part of the company's broader exploration strategy, which aims to expand the existing resource footprint, upgrade confidence in the current resource, test extensions of known mineralization, and generate geological data to support future resource growth. The company expects a strong pipeline of exploration milestones over the coming months, including the commencement of Phase 2 drilling and ongoing drill assay releases.

The Akyanga Deposit, located centrally in the Misisi Project, hosts an inferred mineral resource of 40.8 million tonnes averaging 2.37 grams per tonne gold, containing 3.11 million ounces. The mineralization remains open at depth and along strike, and the current resource is determined from surface to a vertical depth of 350 meters over a strike length of 2,100 meters, using a US$1,500/oz pit shell.

The geology of the Misisi project area is dominated by Proterozoic meta-sediments, and gold mineralization is associated with numerous zones of stacked quartz veins that occur sub-parallel to bedding. The mineralized zones have strike lengths of up to 2,000 meters and are generally less than 10 meters thick. The current interpretation is that the base of a mafic unit provides a contact with hardness contrast along which there has been structural movement.

Avanti Gold is focused on advancing its flagship Misisi Project, which spans three contiguous 30-year mining leases covering 133 square kilometers along the 55-kilometer-long Kibara Gold Belt, a prominent metallogenic province known for hosting significant gold deposits. The company is currently undertaking a 42,000-meter drill program, the largest in the project's history, with the objective of growing gold resources in advance of a Preliminary Economic Assessment anticipated in 2027.
