Rice joins AVAIO Digital from KBR Inc., where he held senior procurement leadership roles, overseeing a substantial $4 billion in annual materials and equipment spend for capital projects in the Americas. His responsibilities included managing the sourcing and securing of long-lead, mission-critical equipment, with a strong focus on cost optimization, schedule certainty, and mitigating supply chain risks.
At AVAIO Digital, Rice will lead the procurement strategy and execution across the company's growing data center campus portfolio. His role will encompass supplier engagement, commercial strategy, contract negotiations, and procurement planning, with a particular emphasis on long-lead equipment. The company aims to build a scalable supply chain to support its rapid growth and deliver capacity to customers on schedule and with cost certainty.

Rice's background includes a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from the University of Houston and an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas. He has worked closely with engineering, construction, project management, finance, and executive leadership to align procurement with cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
