Autonomix Medical Appoints Former Medtronic Chief Regulatory Counsel

Autonomix Medical, a company dedicated to advancing precision nerve-targeted treatments, has appointed Sandra Cohen Kalter to its board of directors. Kalter, who previously served as the Vice President and Chief Regulatory Counsel at Medtronic plc, brings over four decades of experience in the medical device and healthcare industries.

Kalter’s extensive background includes a significant role in regulatory, clinical, and strategic initiatives at Medtronic. During her tenure, she oversaw due diligence and integration activities for more than 27 acquisitions, contributing to Medtronic’s expansion in renal denervation, electrophysiology, and other areas of medical technology. Her involvement with key technologies such as the Symplicity Spyral™ Renal Denervation system, Evolut™ TAVR platform, Micra™ Transcatheter Pacing System, and PulseSelect™ Pulsed Field Ablation system underscores her expertise in navigating complex regulatory and strategic processes.

As a board member, Kalter will provide strategic guidance to Autonomix’s management team as the company advances its proprietary technologies and evaluates opportunities to expand its technology across additional therapeutic applications. Autonomix Medical’s platform technology includes a catheter-based microchip sensing array designed to detect and differentiate neural signals with greater sensitivity than currently available technologies.
