ATI and Elsevier Win Preliminary Injunction Against Naxlex

BOSTON, Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- ATI and Elsevier have obtained a preliminary injunction from the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York against Naxlex.com and its affiliated websites. The injunction, issued on August 21, 2026, a day after the companies filed suit against Naxlex on August 20, 2026, mandates Naxlex to cease its illegal activities and requires third parties to stop providing services to the site in support of those activities.

The lawsuit, filed by ATI and Elsevier, alleges that Naxlex has been engaging in copyright infringement by unauthorized copying and selling of ATI’s and Elsevier’s proprietary nursing exam content. This content is used by nursing schools across the country to evaluate the skills of prospective and current nursing students. The complaint also accuses Naxlex of operating a proxy test-taking service, where paid stand-ins, posing as students, take exams in Elsevier’s and ATI’s secure online testing environments instead of the registered students.
