Atera, the company behind the Autonomous IT platform, has announced the findings of a new Total Economic Impact (TEI) report conducted by Forrester Consulting. The study reveals that Robin by Atera, the company’s AI agent, can deliver a 321% return on investment for enterprise IT teams.

According to the report, Robin autonomously resolves up to 90% of manual service desk tickets by the third year, significantly reducing costs and boosting productivity. The study, which examined a composite organization of 2,500 employees with $800 million in annual revenue and a 30-person Level 1/Level 2 service desk team, found that the organization could achieve $7.3 million in risk-adjusted benefits against $1.7 million in costs over three years. This translates to a net present value of $5.5 million.

Gil Pekelman, co-founder and CEO of Atera, commented, "Enterprises are increasingly seeking third-party validation and peer proof over vendor claims. This study provides IT leaders with a numbers-based answer to the question every CFO is asking about AI investments: what's the actual return? Robin was built to remove everyday technology friction, allowing teams to focus on higher-value work. Forrester's study shows how this can translate into measurable financial impact for a composite enterprise organization."

The report highlights several categories of quantified benefits over the three-year period: - $3.3 million in avoided IT service desk costs through autonomous ticket resolution - $533,000 in efficiency gains from Robin's autonomous triage of incoming tickets - $2.9 million in recovered end-user productivity through faster issue resolution - $241,000 in avoided hiring costs as Robin absorbed ticket volume growth without added headcount - $305,000 in avoided shadow IT remediation costs through reduced end-users' reliance on unsanctioned tools and workarounds

Interviewed organizations also reported improvements that were not quantifiable, including a shift from reactive "firefighting" IT support to a more proactive service model, more strategic use of IT staff time, and stronger SLA performance. One healthcare organization reported that SLA compliance improved from 75% to almost 100%.

The Autonomous IT platform operates on a patented architecture, enabling it to detect, diagnose, remediate, and verify incidents by taking action directly on devices, servers, networks, and mainframes. Robin resolves technical Tier 1 and complex Tier 2 incidents in full, operating within existing enterprise environments and adhering to the highest enterprise-grade security and compliance standards.

More than 13,000 organizations across 120+ countries rely on Atera to keep their people working uninterrupted. The company continues to innovate and expand its offerings to meet the evolving needs of modern enterprises.
