HONG KONG, Sept. 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Ascletis Pharma Inc., a biotechnology company focused on developing and commercializing innovative therapeutics for metabolic diseases, has announced that its shares will be included in the Hong Kong Stock Connect list, effective from September 7, 2026. The inclusion of the company’s shares in both the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect programs has been confirmed by recent announcements from the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
This move is expected to broaden the company’s investor base and enhance the liquidity of its shares. According to Ascletis, the inclusion reflects the market's recognition of the company’s investment value and its growth prospects. Ascletis is committed to leveraging its proprietary technologies, including Artificial Intelligence-assisted Structure-Based Drug Discovery (AISBDD), Ultra-Long-Acting Platform (ULAP), and Peptide Oral Transport ENhancement Technology (POTENT), to advance its drug candidates.
The company has already developed several in-house drug candidates, including small molecules and peptides. Among them, ASC30, a once-daily oral small molecule GLP-1R agonist for chronic weight management and diabetes, is a key program. ASC30_48FDC, a dual agonist combining ASC30 and ASC48, and ASC39, an eloralintide-like potent selective amylin receptor agonist (SARA), are also in development. Additionally, Ascletis is working on a range of triple and quadruple peptide agonists, such as ASC30_39FDC, ASC36, and ASC37, designed for chronic weight management.
The inclusion in the Hong Kong Stock Connect programs is anticipated to support the company’s innovation-driven and sustainable growth in the long term. Ascletis believes that this expansion will facilitate greater access to capital and enhance its market visibility, ultimately contributing to the company’s strategic objectives.
With the inclusion, eligible investors in the Chinese mainland will be able to trade Ascletis’ shares through the Hong Kong Stock Connect channel, providing them with more opportunities to invest in the company’s promising pipeline of therapeutics.
