DETROIT, Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Ascent Cloud, a leader in Sales Performance Management software, has unveiled Shepherd, a new AI-based SaaS solution designed to enhance the field sales experience. Shepherd builds on the features of Geopointe, a popular solution Ascent Cloud already offers, while adding a dedicated mobile app, offline mode, real-time collaboration, and live location updates.

David Leinweber, CEO of Ascent Cloud, highlighted the company's commitment to addressing the needs of field sales teams.

Shepherd is designed to streamline field operations, offering a comprehensive platform for field teams. Key features include:

- Route Planning and Optimization: Users can easily plan their day, build routes from records on the map, place-search results, or stops entered by hand. Shepherd also optimizes routes to reduce windshield time while respecting pre-scheduled appointments, including virtual visits or non-client meetings.

- Field Mode: This feature allows reps to follow their plan for the day on their mobile devices, focusing on the road and tasks at hand. Every completed visit logs back to the connected CRM as a permanent activity record, automatically creating new entries for newly discovered leads or accounts.

- Real-Time Collaboration: Teams can co-plan schedules in real-time, featuring shared cursors, viewport tracking, live rep locations, and in-app chat. This is particularly useful for account teams that need to stay in sync throughout the day.

- Offline Mode: Log meeting notes, access routes, and interact with the map even in low-bandwidth or zero-coverage environments.

- Geo-Fencing: Admins can set a geofence radius for each stop, ensuring reps can verify visits and log attendance accurately from the field.

- Voice Capture: Reps can dictate notes via the mobile app, eliminating the need for typing in the parking lot.

- Mileage Tracking: Automatically track mileage and simplify reimbursement payments.

Shepherd is currently available in beta for approved customers and will be generally available on Monday, November 2, 2026. Ascent Cloud's suite of solutions, including Territory Planner, Geopointe, and LevelEleven, aims to help sales teams plan, execute, and grow. The company's unified Sales Performance Management Suite brings together powerful solutions to streamline field operations and enhance productivity.

Ascent Cloud's Shepherd solution works with a variety of CRMs and Data Lakes, including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, ServiceNow, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and SQL Server. This compatibility allows field teams to consolidate their solutions, regardless of their tech stack, and focus on their core tasks.
