Gallagher Bassett, the claims and risk management solutions subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., acquired Winter & Co. The transaction terms were not disclosed. Winter & Co, known for its expertise in shipping-related legal matters, will continue to operate under the direction of Manan Sagar, head of Gallagher Bassett's Europe, Middle East, and Asia operations. Glenn Winter and his team will remain in their current location.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. provides its services in approximately 130 countries around the world through its owned operations and a network of correspondent brokers and consultants. The acquisition of Winter & Co is part of the company's ongoing efforts to strengthen its marine expertise and support its clients in the maritime sector.

Winter & Co specializes in serving P&I clubs, marine insurers, shipowners, and charterers. Its expertise in shipping-related legal matters will be valuable in expanding Gallagher Bassett's offerings and addressing the unique needs of its clients in the maritime industry.
