LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Korean lifestyle retailer ARTBOX, founded in 1984, is making its U.S. debut with a pop-up event in Los Angeles, marking the first step in the company's broader American expansion plans. The event, set to take place from October 3 through October 11, 2026, will be hosted at 8250 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90046.

The pop-up, which will run for nine days, is designed as a roughly 40-45 minute journey through the ARTBOX universe. The event will feature an immersive experience that combines shopping, original character IP, K-culture, and interactive activities. ARTBOX, known for its original design and lifestyle retail approach, will showcase its unique character goods and K-culture offerings, alongside its extensive product range.

ILLIT, the global ambassador for ARTBOX and a member of the K-pop group ILLIT, YUNAH, MINJU, WONHEE, IROHA, will kick off the opening celebration on October 3. The event will include a special appearance by ILLIT, who will join the opening remarks and photo call, meet with selected media, and experience the pop-up firsthand through a store tour and DIY decorating activity.

Following the opening celebration, the public will be invited to explore the pop-up, which will feature several immersive zones. These include the "Step Into the Fun Side," an entrance that welcomes guests into the ARTBOX world, anchored by oversized ARTBOX characters and visual content. The "Meet the ARTBOX Gang" zone will showcase the brand's original characters alongside character merchandise, collectibles, stationery, and accessories.

This zone connects ARTBOX's Korean roots with the global cultural phenomenon surrounding Korean entertainment. The "DIY at the Cute Custom Corner" zone will provide a hands-on customization experience inspired by Korea's decorating culture, allowing visitors to personalize items such as journals, phones, and accessories.

The pop-up will conclude with the "Take Your Treats Home" zone, where visitors can shop for ARTBOX products and participate in an exciting Gacha experience. The event is designed to offer more than a traditional shopping experience, providing a unique blend of discovery, interaction, and entertainment.

ARTBOX, which began as a design-led stationery business in Seoul, has evolved into a major Korean lifestyle retail destination, spanning 222 stores across South Korea and more than 20,000 active SKUs. The company now extends beyond stationery, bringing together eight lifestyle categories, including character goods and K-culture, stationery and writing, home and living, beauty and wellness, fashion and travel, gifts and seasonal products, digital and mobile accessories, and food and snacks.
