LONDON and DOHA, September 1, 2026 — Arqit Quantum Inc. (NASDAQ: ARQQ, ARQQW), a leading provider of quantum-safe encryption, along with Es’hailSat, the Qatar Satellite Company, and AIEE, a specialist in secure communications infrastructure, have successfully demonstrated quantum-safe security across operational satellite communications infrastructure. This collaborative effort showcases a practical approach for satellite operators and critical infrastructure providers to enhance their communications resilience without disrupting ongoing operations.

The demonstration, conducted at Es’hailSat’s live satellite environment at 25.5/26° East, integrated Arqit’s quantum-safe encryption technology within the existing operational infrastructure of Es’hailSat’s Tier-4 certified Teleport facility in Doha. The project utilized Es’hail-1, one of Es’hailSat’s satellites, to validate the introduction of quantum-safe cryptographic protection across satellite-connected networks. AIEE led the systems integration and interoperability testing, ensuring seamless operation.

“This project is significant because it proves a practical path to strengthening quantum-safe cryptographic resilience without requiring operators to rebuild existing infrastructure,” said Andy Leaver, CEO of Arqit. “In critical infrastructure environments, where disruption is not an option, this collaboration sets a new standard for secure communications.”

Es’hailSat’s President and CEO, Ali Al Kuwari, emphasized the company’s commitment to exploring technologies that enhance long-term communications resilience. “Our satellite networks are vital to Qatar’s national infrastructure and secure digital transformation across the Middle East and North Africa. This collaboration reflects our dedication to providing robust security solutions that ensure operational continuity for our customers.”

Adam St Paul, Chief Technology Officer of AIEE, highlighted the benefits of this approach. “This demonstration shows that organizations can achieve stronger security without the need for system replacements. By integrating quantum-safe protection into operational environments, satellite operators and critical infrastructure providers can maintain the continuity and reliability essential for their operations.”

The successful demonstration lays a foundation for future quantum-safe satellite communications deployment. It supports secure enterprise connectivity, sovereign communications resilience, and the long-term protection of critical infrastructure. The collaboration between these companies represents a significant step towards mitigating the cybersecurity threats posed by emerging quantum computing technologies.

Es’hailSat, founded in 2010 and wholly owned by the Qatar Investment Authority, operates a satellite network covering the Middle East and North Africa. Its Tier-4 certified Teleport facility in Doha ensures reliable, secure, and high-performance connectivity services. AIEE, a systems integrator, specializes in advanced communications and cybersecurity solutions for government, defense, and enterprise sectors. Arqit Quantum Inc. secures critical data with quantum-safe encryption software, providing a complete “Detect, Protect, Comply” solution for governments and enterprises.

This joint effort underscores the growing importance of quantum-safe security in protecting long-life communications infrastructure, especially in sectors where reliability and operational continuity are paramount.
