Appia Expands Otherside Uranium Property in Saskatchewan

Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Corp. has expanded its Otherside Uranium Property in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin by staking an additional 20 mineral claims. This move follows encouraging results from a recent magnetotelluric (MT) survey that identified several geophysical and structural anomalies interpreted as potential uranium mineralization zones.

The expansion brings the total land position of the Otherside Property to 26 claims, covering 20,443.95 hectares. The new claims were strategically selected to extend the company's exploration coverage and secure areas that may host additional prospective geological and structural features. According to the company, these features include magnetic gradient and intensity changes that warrant follow-up exploration.

Tom Drivas, CEO of Appia, commented, "The positive MT results strengthen our confidence in the exploration potential at Otherside and highlight the importance of securing additional ground surrounding the Property. By expanding northwest, east, and southeast of the Property to cover several anomalies warranting follow-up exploration, Appia has strengthened its position to evaluate the broader uranium potential identified through its recent work."

The MT survey, conducted as part of the company's Q1 2026 SPARTAN Magnetotelluric survey, identified several lines that displayed similarities to the structural controls associated with the high-grade McArthur River uranium deposit. This comparison is conceptual and based on geophysical interpretations, with no comparable uranium mineralization yet discovered at Otherside.

The strategic expansion of the Otherside Property is expected to provide Appia with greater flexibility to refine its regional geological interpretations and advance follow-up exploration for planned ground MT and Ambient Noise Tomography surveys. The data from these surveys will be integrated into a multidisciplinary 3D geomodelling effort to refine target selection for the company's planned 2027 drill campaign.

The Otherside Property is located within the Athabasca Basin, a region renowned for significant uranium deposits. The property displays certain interpreted geophysical and structural characteristics that are comparable to those associated with high-grade Athabasca Basin uranium systems, including the McArthur River deposit.

The expansion of the Otherside Property is part of Appia's ongoing exploration efforts in the Athabasca Basin, where the company is also focusing on delineating high-grade critical rare earth elements and gallium on the Alces Lake property and exploring for high-grade uranium on its Loranger, North Wollaston, and Eastside properties.
