HAMBURG, GERMANY, October 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Andreas Westendörpf has joined JobLeads as Chief Technology Officer, taking the helm of the Hamburg-based AI career assistant that currently serves more than 20 million job seekers in 42 countries. In his new role, Westendörpf will lead JobLeads’ technology organization, focusing on AI-native engineering and a platform designed to keep pace with the company’s ongoing growth.

The appointment comes at a critical juncture for JobLeads, as the company extends its AI assistant across the entire career journey, from discovering a job to landing it. Westendörpf, who brings more than 20 years of experience in technology, product development, and IT consulting, has led several tech organizations through periods of hypergrowth and platform reconstruction.

Most notably, Westendörpf was most recently the Senior Vice President of Technology at Babbel, the Berlin-based language learning app. Prior to Babbel, he served as Interim Chief Technology & Product Officer at Emma, the sleep company, where he helped the organization transition to a composable commerce architecture. In 2017, he took on the role of Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer at Engel & Völkers Technology, a company that specializes in real estate technology. Earlier in his career, Westendörpf was the Chief Technology Officer at Zalando, a leading fashion e-commerce platform, where he managed more than 100 employees for nearly ten years.

In his new role at JobLeads, Westendörpf has articulated a principle he calls "outcome over output," emphasizing that the true measure of a technology's value lies in its impact on users rather than the sheer volume of features it offers.

Since 2022, Westendörpf has been an Ambassador of the MACH Alliance, an industry body for modular technology architectures. He has spoken at events such as Web Summit and the OMR Festival, and supports startups as a mentor, advisory board member, and angel investor. A native of the Rhineland, Westendörpf spent part of his school years in Geneva and Moscow before settling in the east of Hamburg with his wife and two sons.

Founded in Hamburg in 2007, JobLeads combines AI tools for job matching, resumes, and applications with personalized career support, empowering job seekers to take control of their career journey. The company’s team of 130 people from 33 nations works remotely and from offices in Hamburg and Timișoara.
