Amerigo Resources Ltd. has declared a performance dividend of Cdn$0.21 per share, making it the third and largest such dividend of the year 2026. The dividend, payable on October 14, 2026, to shareholders of record as of September 21, 2026, is part of the company's Capital Return Strategy, which aims to return excess cash to shareholders while maintaining a strong, debt-free balance sheet.

The total performance dividends declared in 2026 amount to Cdn$0.55 per share, representing an 8.6% yield based on the company's most recent closing share price of Cdn$8.28 on September 11, 2026.

Davidson explained that the performance dividend is the flexible component of the company's Capital Return Strategy, allowing the firm to return cash generated above its operating and strategic requirements.

Since launching the Capital Return Strategy in October 2021, Amerigo has returned $161.3 million to shareholders through dividends and buybacks. With the payment of the quarterly dividend declared on July 27, 2026, and the performance dividend announced today, shareholder returns under the strategy will reach approximately $190.5 million.

Amerigo Resources Ltd. produces copper concentrate and molybdenum concentrate at its Minera Valle Central (MVC) operation in Chile through a long-term relationship with Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco). The company's performance dividends are subject to the T+1 settlement cycle, meaning shares will commence trading ex-dividend at the opening of trading on September 21, 2026. Shareholders purchasing Amerigo shares on or after the ex-dividend date will not receive this dividend, while those buying before the ex-dividend date will.

The company's performance dividend declaration is part of its broader strategy to maintain a strong financial position and return value to shareholders.

Amerigo Resources Ltd. continues to operate in a cyclical market environment, with strong market fundamentals supporting copper prices. The company remains committed to its Capital Return Strategy, aiming to balance financial discipline with shareholder value creation.
