BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is inviting the public to its 31st annual National Solar Tour Showcase Weekend, taking place from October 2-4, 2026. This event, which has been a cornerstone of the organization's efforts to promote solar energy and sustainable building practices, offers a unique opportunity for individuals to explore real-world solar installations and sustainable building features.
This year, the National Solar Tour is expanding its reach to include hundreds of host sites across all fifty states. Attendees can visit these sites in person or participate in virtual tours from anywhere in the world. The tour features a diverse range of solar-powered homes, businesses, and community sites, showcasing everything from residential rooftop systems to community solar gardens and net-zero homes.
Ella Nielsen, ASES Programs Director, emphasized the educational value of the event.
Attendees can expect to see solar panels, battery storage, and energy-efficient home features up close. They will have the opportunity to engage directly with homeowners, installers, and solar advocates who can share their experiences and insights. Additionally, virtual tours will be available, allowing participants to explore participating sites through photos, videos, and live Q&A sessions.
The event is made possible with support from platinum sponsor FranklinWH, along with additional sponsors, Exact Solar & Belmont Solar. ASES encourages individuals to RSVP for in-person tours at map.nationalsolartour.org and on the National Solar Tour app, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Virtual tours are available year-round.
For more than 70 years, ASES has been dedicated to inspiring and educating the public about the benefits of solar energy and a sustainable future. The National Solar Tour is a testament to the organization's commitment to advancing solar and renewable energy through education, advocacy, and community events.
