American Solar Energy Society Hosts SOLAR 2026 Conference in Austin

BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 24, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is set to host its three-day national conference, SOLAR 2026, from October 19 to 21 in Austin, Texas. The event, themed "Solar for All, Y'all," will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Texas Solar Energy Society (TXSES) and bring together solar professionals, researchers, and advocates.
The conference will feature a range of sessions and activities, including keynote and plenary sessions, oral and poster presentations, and educational courses. Plenary panels will discuss the impact of data centers on energy demand and the integration of supply and demand in Texas.
Attendees can expect a diverse program covering topics such as grid modernization, agrivoltaics, solar education, and building resilience. NABCEP-accredited courses on photovoltaic (PV) systems, the National Electrical Code, and energy storage will be led by instructor Sean White. The conference will also host the ASES Awards Luncheon, Women in Solar Energy (WISE) Luncheon, and Fellows Reception, honoring leaders in the solar industry.
The event will conclude with the ASES Shine on Solar Gala, a fundraising dinner and live auction supporting ASES's solar education and equity programs. A special celebration for the 50th anniversary of TXSES will include the TXSES 50th Anniversary Award Ceremony and a performance by a country band.
The Palmer Events Center, the venue for the conference, has achieved LEED Gold certification and operates on 100% renewable energy through Austin Energy's Green Choice Program. The center also features a 185 kW on-site PV array, aligning with the conference's commitment to sustainability.
