American Pacific Mining Corp, a precious and base metals explorer and developer, has provided an update on its equity portfolio companies, Vizsla Copper Corp and ICG Silver & Gold Ltd, highlighting recent developments and future plans.
American Pacific holds significant equity positions in both Vizsla Copper and ICG. The company's shareholdings in these two companies are valued at an estimated C$19 million based on the closing prices of their shares on Monday, September 14, 2026.
Warwick Smith, CEO of American Pacific, expressed confidence in the management teams of Vizsla Copper and ICG.
Vizsla Copper, which American Pacific acquired its significant share positions through the December 2025 sale of the Palmer Copper-Zinc VMS Project in Alaska, has reported initial assay results from its 12,250-metre 2026 diamond drill program at Palmer. The results from two drill holes, CMR26-199 and CMR26-201, are particularly noteworthy. Drill hole CMR26-199 yielded high-grade copper and zinc, with 49.2 meters grading 4.7% CuEq, including 27.0 meters grading 8.4% CuEq and 13.1 meters grading 10.3% CuEq. Drill hole CMR26-201 also showed high-grade copper, with 40.4 meters grading 3.0% CuEq, including 25.6 meters grading 3.7% CuEq and 12.2 meters grading 4.9% CuEq.
In a subsequent development, Vizsla Copper announced an agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Delta base and precious metal project and the Helm Bay gold project in Alaska from a subsidiary of Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. The transaction is subject to various conditions, including exchange acceptance.
ICG Silver & Gold, which American Pacific retained following the March 2026 spin-out of the Tuscarora District in Nevada, has commenced a Phase 1, 3,000-metre reverse circulation drill program at the Tuscarora District. The program targets four priority silver-gold zones identified through ICG's district-scale geological model. The company is fully-funded for the Phase 1 program and expects to report initial assay results during the second half of 2026, ahead of an expected inaugural mineral resource estimate in 2027.
American Pacific continues to evaluate opportunities to further bolster its equity portfolio by monetizing additional non-core Nevada assets. The company is also advancing 15,000-metres of 2026 drilling at its flagship Madison Copper-Gold Project in Montana.
In other news, American Pacific has settled a legal dispute with NewQuest Capital Inc. The settlement includes the issuance of 2,750,000 shares, with the company having the right to locate a buyer for 2 million of these shares during a four-month hold period.
Technical aspects of the press release have been reviewed and approved by Eric Saderholm, P.Geo., Managing Director of Exploration for the company.
