VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 16, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- American Lithium Corp. has announced that its Falchani Lithium Project pilot plant is fully operational, marking a significant milestone in the company's efforts to validate the project's feasibility. The plant, managed by TECMMINE in Lima, Peru, has demonstrated improved lithium recovery rates, achieving an average of 88.7% lithium extraction, well above the 80% recovery rate used in the February 2024 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).

The pilot plant, which includes core systems such as impurity removal, controlled cooling, pre-neutralization, neutralization, crystallization, centrifugal separation, and consumables' reaction management, has been tested and found to be performing as expected. Recent laboratory bench tests using the pilot plant equipment in a semi-continuous process have shown consistent results, with lithium losses across key stages reduced to fractions of a percent.

Dr. Laurence Stefan, President and COO of American Lithium, expressed confidence in the pilot plant's performance.

With all flow sheet equipment now installed and tested, the company is advancing toward full end-to-end flowsheet validation, running the plant continuously at target rates for 3 to 6 months, processing 6 to 10 tonnes of Falchani mineralization. The pilot plant results will feed into the future project feasibility work, providing crucial data to support the company's plans for the Falchani project.

The Falchani Lithium Project, located in southern Peru, is part of American Lithium's larger portfolio, which includes the TLC claystone lithium project in Nevada and the Macusani uranium project in the same region. The Falchani project is known for its volcanic-hosted lithium mineralization, which naturally has low impurities, supporting a simple flowsheet capable of producing battery-grade lithium carbonate exceeding 99.5% purity.

TECMMINE, a Peruvian metallurgical consulting company based in Lima, has been instrumental in the development and commissioning of the Falchani pilot plant. The company's experienced metallurgical personnel, led by Eng. Jose Malqui, have been working closely with American Lithium to ensure the plant's successful operation.

The successful commissioning of the Falchani pilot plant is a critical step in validating the project's flowsheet at scale. This achievement is expected to provide American Lithium with valuable data to inform future project feasibility studies and support the company's broader strategic goals in the lithium industry.
