EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Oct. 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Amca, an engineering and manufacturing company based in El Segundo, California, has secured a significant contract with the U.S. Army to support the Army's critical component needs. The company has been awarded a competitively established, firm-fixed-price contract (W9124P-26-C-A020) by U.S. Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal. This contract establishes a scalable partnership between Amca and the Army for rapid engineering and component production.

The partnership is the first Active Capability Gap (ACG) award under the Army's Advanced Manufacturing Commercial Solutions Opening. It aims to address long lead times, incomplete engineering data, and diminished manufacturing capacity for critical components and subsystems, particularly for a priority missile system. Amca's role is to simplify designs and improve manufacturability, thereby reducing production and sustainment costs while enabling the Army's Organic Industrial Base and a broader base of qualified manufacturers to support the missile system over the long term.

Amca's engineering-as-a-service model will be deployed to support the Army's priority weapon system. The initial work will focus on radar and power assemblies, with the potential to expand to include power supplies, connectors, actuators, valves, radar system components, and other critical items. This scope provides a scalable way to address the Army's readiness needs.

Amca operates out of its headquarters in El Segundo, California, where engineering and qualification testing will take place. Production will scale across Amca's eight AS9100D- and ISO 9001-certified factories, ensuring quality and reliability. The company has a proven track record of re-engineering and qualifying critical components, including sensors, pressure switches, connectors, and power supplies, in under 90 days. Amca owns and operates these factories, which average five decades of continuous operation and achieve over 99% on-time delivery.

Amca's expertise and commitment to rapid engineering and production make it well-suited to support the Army's critical needs. The partnership is expected to have a lasting impact on the Army's ability to maintain and enhance its weapon systems.
