SOUTH BEND, Ind., Oct. 9, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- At the upcoming Annual Meeting and Exposition of the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) from October 12 to 14, 2026, Booth #1925 in Hall B at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, AM General will showcase its latest advancements in military mobility solutions. The company is set to present the next-generation HUMVEE platform, the fully autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) with advanced AI technology, and the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle A2 (JLTV A2) with integrated C-UAS technology.

The HUMVEE, an iconic tactical vehicle, will undergo a multi-phase modernization. The first phase, planned for late 2027, will feature a redesigned exterior, including a new hood and front grille, to support an upgraded powertrain. This phase will also introduce a long-travel suspension designed to enhance mobility and durability across challenging terrains. The vehicle will be powered by a new Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDI) engine, producing 250 horsepower and over 500 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This common powerpack is also being integrated into multiple AM General light tactical vehicle programs, including the AMG UGV and the HUMVEE Hawkeye 105mm mobile artillery system.

The JLTV A2, the next generation of light tactical vehicles, will be on display with added lethality and C-UAS capabilities from Rafael Systems Global Sustainment (RSGS), LLC. The JLTV A2 boasts significant improvements from the A1, including a new powertrain, enhanced corrosion control, and reduced cabin noise. At the show, the JLTV A2 will integrate the RSGS Samson 30mm Remote Weapon Station and the Iron Wasp autonomous, vehicle-launched C-UAS aerial drone system. The RWS is part of the combat-proven SAMSON RWS family, integrated into thousands of tracked and wheeled vehicles worldwide. The Iron Wasp drone is designed to intercept enemy drones and loitering munitions while stationary or on the move, interfacing with native or stand-alone sensors.

The UGV, a key part of AM General's lineup, will be showcased with an integration from XTEND (NYSE: XTND). XTEND Nest is a XOS-powered mobile launch pod designed to enable aerial robotic capabilities to deploy from a fixed or mobile location. On the UGV, the NEST allows the vehicle to carry an aerial system forward and establish a mobile launch point closer to where the capability is needed, enabling Warfighters to stay farther away from potentially dangerous areas. The UGV will also carry the Scorpio 1000 gesture-controlled system for precise missions in complex or GPS-denied environments, providing ISR and reconnaissance with rapid deployment.

AM General's global presence, with diverse product offerings in over 70 countries, uniquely positions the company to enhance interoperability across allies. Its extensive supplier base, stretching across 46 states, supports the company's continuous improvement and readiness to meet the changing needs of the defense and automotive industries. With a well-rounded product portfolio that includes the iconic HUMVEE, JLTV A2, UGV, and the revolutionary soft recoil technology for mobile platforms, AM General strives to offer advanced, rugged, resilient, and dependable mobility solutions.
