Aldebaran Resources Inc. has released results from the remaining holes of its 2025-2026 infill and geotechnical drilling program at the Altar project in San Juan, Argentina. The drilling was designed to upgrade Inferred resources to higher-confidence Measured and Indicated categories while supporting geotechnical studies. Several of the holes were drilled exclusively for geotechnical purposes in areas where significant mineralization was not expected.
The highlights include:
- ALD-26-260: 1,728.90 meters of 0.45% CuEq1 from 141.00 meters depth. This includes 1,427.90 meters of 0.52% CuEq1 from 442.00 meters depth, 756.00 meters of 0.68% CuEq1 from 965.00 meters depth, and 88.00 meters of 0.84% CuEq1 from 1,211.00 meters depth.
- ALD-26-266: 918.80 meters of 0.62% CuEq1 from 59.00 meters depth. This includes 87.00 meters of 0.88% CuEq1 from 59.00 meters depth and 302.00 meters of 0.76% CuEq1 from 422.00 meters depth, including 212.00 meters of 0.83% CuEq1 from 490.00 meters depth.
- ALD-26-265: 901.00 meters of 0.47% CuEq1 from 249 meters depth. This includes 781.00 meters of 0.52% CuEq1 from 296.00 meters depth, 196.00 meters of 0.73% CuEq1 from 516.00 meters depth, and 196.00 meters of 0.73% CuEq1 from 516.00 meters depth.
- ALD-26-269: 940.70 meters of 0.49% CuEq1 from 63.00 meters depth. This includes 165.00 meters of 0.80% CuEq1 from 533.00 meters depth and 227.00 meters of 0.60% CuEq1 from 771.00 meters depth.
- ALD-26-271: 841.90 meters of 0.54% CuEq1 from 193.00 meters depth. This includes 253.00 meters of 0.73% CuEq1 from 722.00 meters depth.
These results underscore the immense scale of the Altar system, with a mineralized interval exceeding 1.7 kilometers in a single drill hole. Aldebaran plans to incorporate more than 40,000 meters of drilling completed at the main Altar deposit since the last resource estimate in late 2024, as well as approximately 30,000 meters of drilling at the adjacent Radio Porphyry target, into its upcoming mineral resource estimate. The Radio Porphyry target has never been included in a mineral resource estimate, making this an important milestone for the project.
