CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 28, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Enserva, the voice of the Canadian energy services, supply and manufacturing sector, hosted the 2026 Enserva Speaker Series in Calgary, bringing together Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and Ontario Premier Doug Ford. The event, held at the TELUS Convention Centre, aimed to discuss the future of Canada’s energy and economic landscape.

Premier Smith highlighted Alberta’s readiness to deliver on its energy potential by building the necessary infrastructure to reach new markets.

Premier Ford emphasized the importance of working together to secure Canada’s energy sovereignty. Ford cited the Northern Shield Energy Corridor as a key project that could move up to 800,000 barrels of Alberta oil a day, powering Ontario’s economy and exporting to trusted allies and new markets.

Gurpreet Lail, CEO of Enserva, underscored the significance of the event.

The event brought together leaders from across Canada’s energy sector, business community, and government. The conversation explored the opportunities and challenges facing Canada as it looks to expand energy infrastructure, strengthen domestic economic ties, and respond to growing demand from international markets and trusted allies.

The relationship between Alberta and Ontario is increasingly important as Canada looks to strengthen its domestic economy while responding to growing global demand for secure, reliable energy. Greater cooperation between provinces with significant energy production and demand can create new opportunities for investment, trade, infrastructure development, and job creation across the country.

In 2022, Enserva’s brand evolved from the Petroleum Services Association of Canada (PSAC) to Enserva, reflecting the organization’s commitment to innovation, technological advancement, and in-field expertise needed to unleash Canadian energy and end global energy poverty.
