AICA Data International, a product data intelligence platform for asset-intensive industries, has been named a solution partner by GS1 Germany. This partnership will bring AICA's advanced AI classification and cleansing platform to a wider community of procurement, maintenance, and master data teams.

The platform, known as AICA Atlas, is designed to address the common issues faced by these teams. According to the press release, most procurement, maintenance, and master data teams struggle with unreliable item master data. This can lead to duplicate records, missing attributes, and inconsistent classification, which can inflate costs, stall ERP migrations, and make it difficult to exchange data with trading partners.

AICA's partnership with GS1 Germany will focus on three key areas: classification to GS1 Global Product Classification (GPC), governed master data for industrial buyers, and compliance and the Digital Product Passport.

In the area of classification, AICA Atlas can classify and enrich product records to GPC, alongside UNSPSC, ECLASS, ETIM, and HS codes. The platform boasts a 95.2% top-1 accuracy rate on UNSPSC classification (98.4% top-3) and processes more than 6 million items per hour across 62 languages. This high level of accuracy and speed is crucial for maintaining the integrity of product data.

For governed master data, AICA combines AI cleansing with industry-trained data stewards to deliver a single, governed golden record per product. This is particularly useful for industrial buyers, such as those in mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, energy, and utilities. The press release cites an example where AICA classified 325,000 SKUs at over 90% confidence, and during a mining client's SAP migration, the platform identified $3 million in duplicate inventory.

The third area of focus is compliance and the Digital Product Passport. AICA Compliance Ready structures product attributes for the EU Digital Product Passport and regulatory reporting, ensuring that data exchanged on GS1 standards carries the necessary attributes for regulators and trading partners.

Through GS1 PINE, companies looking to implement GS1 standards can now find AICA's software and stewardship services directly.

AICA's platform is available on AWS Marketplace and is Cyber Essentials certified. It has been delivered in more than 55 countries and is now accessible to a wider audience through its partnership with GS1 Germany. Companies can view AICA's listing on GS1 PINE or request a review of their product data at aicadata.com.
