AIB Data Centers Inc has significantly expanded its power capacity, nearly doubling its contracted power portfolio to 120 megawatts (MW) through a strategic acquisition in Texas. The acquisition, completed on September 14, 2026, adds 55 MW of contracted power capacity, including 15 MW that is already energized.

The transaction involved the purchase of two adjacent parcels totaling approximately 29.4 acres. The site includes a 5.0-acre parcel with 15 MW of energized service and an existing building shell, along with a 24.4-acre parcel carrying 40 MW of contracted service under a new facilities extension agreement. The additional 40 MW is currently under development.

Jerry Tang, CEO of AIB Data Centers Inc, emphasized the importance of power access in deploying AI and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure.

With the acquisition, AIB Data Centers Inc aims to convert its portfolio into long-term AI and HPC customer contracts. The company is currently in active discussions with prospective tenants. The acquisition was funded from cash on hand, with a deferred balance secured by a standby letter of credit issued by JPMorgan Chase Bank, ensuring the company completed the transaction without shareholder dilution or third-party debt financing.

The site's approximately 55 MW of planned aggregate capacity is below the 75 MW threshold ERCOT and the Public Utility Commission of Texas use to classify "Large Loads" under the state's large-load interconnection framework, including the Batch Zero process. However, the site remains subject to applicable utility, interconnection, and regulatory requirements.

AIB Data Centers Inc, a developer and operator of digital infrastructure focused on AI hosting and high-performance computing workloads, continues to expand its footprint in the AI and HPC market. The company's platform combines access to reliable, scalable power resources with modular infrastructure deployment designed to accelerate the development of next-generation compute capacity.
