The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has moved forward with phased timelines transitioning publicly listed companies (PLCs) toward the mandatory Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS S1 and PFRS S2), which mirror the global International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) climate disclosure guidelines. Concurrently, financial institutions across the archipelago face strict structural deadlines under the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Circulars 1085 and 1128, which require banks to integrate clear Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) systems into their underwriting frameworks.

Agile Advisors Philippines will deliver localized technical support to bridge these distinct reporting gaps. The Manila office specializes in Double Materiality Assessments, Scope 1, 2, and 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting, and climate risk modeling tailored to the domestic business environment. Additionally, the firm provides on-the-ground technical alignment with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB). Backed by locally licensed environmental professionals, the Manila team will manage Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and execute compliance documentation for Environmental Compliance Certificates (ECC) and Certificates of Non-Coverage (CNC).
