AELF expands global commercial team with key hires in Asia, Middle East, and Africa

Aircraft Engine Lease Finance (AELF) has bolstered its global commercial team with the addition of two key hires, Yong Kang "YK" Tay and Kevin Phelan, to expand its marketing reach in key international regions.

YK Tay, Senior Vice President, Marketing - Asia, will base his operations in Singapore. Tay joins from Aircastle, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing for Asia-Pacific, overseeing critical business development activities such as lease origination, airline partnership building, and commercial transaction structuring. Prior to Aircastle, he worked as an advisor at ICF, specializing in aviation clients. Tay holds an M.Sc. in Global Finance from NYU Stern and a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Kevin Phelan, Vice President, Marketing - Middle East & Africa, is based in Dublin. He brings extensive experience from Clover Aviation Capital, where he was responsible for originating and placing aircraft and engine transactions with Japanese equity investors across the EMEA region. Phelan previously worked at GTLK Europe, focusing on aircraft transaction origination and execution, and at Goshawk, where he managed global lease portfolios and airline relationships. He holds a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from the Law Society of Ireland and a Bachelor of Law degree from University College Cork.

Founded over a decade ago, AELF is a US-based commercial aircraft lessor offering customized, flexible capital solutions to airlines, lessors, banks, and non-traditional aircraft owners.
