Advance ER Hosts Annual Staff Pumpkin Decorating Contest

DALLAS, Sept. 30, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Advance ER, a physician-owned, freestanding emergency room in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, is celebrating the fall season with its annual Staff Pumpkin Decorating Contest. The event, which aims to engage the local community, kicked off on September 16 with the display of undecorated pumpkins in the lobbies of its Park Cities and Preston Hollow/Galleria locations.
The 14-day period, which runs until October 11, has seen the hospital’s staff transform the pumpkins into creative and spooky designs. Patients, families, and neighbors are invited to visit the lobbies and cast their votes for their favorite pumpkin. Voting will take place from Monday, October 5, to Sunday, October 11, with the winners to be announced on Advance ER’s social media channels on October 15.
The contest offers several awards, including "The Showstopper," "The Crowd-Pleaser," and "The Heart-Warmer," as well as a Team Collaboration Award and a Patient Favorite. Additionally, the most creative name will be recognized. The decorated pumpkins will be donated to local elementary schools and libraries after the contest concludes, spreading joy and community spirit.
To make the event more engaging, children who come to vote will receive a free squishy toy, with a limit of one per family. Adults will be rewarded with a complimentary first-aid kit for the car. The first five children at each location who come in to vote will also receive a free squishy toy.
Advance ER’s Marketing and Community Development Leader, Teresa Di Falco, expressed her enthusiasm for the event.
The contest is part of Advance ER’s ongoing commitment to community engagement. The hospital is also partnering with Community Partners of Dallas for the NorthPark Pumpkin Patch and Change is Good initiative, which runs from October 1 to November 1 at NorthPark Center. The event includes a carnival on October 4, with free admission and plenty of family fun.
