LONDON, Ontario, Sept. 23, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Aduro Clean Technologies Inc., a company using chemistry to transform waste plastics and other lower-value feedstocks into valuable resources, has reported significant progress in its Next Generation Process (NGP) pilot plant. The company has conducted multiple campaigns, demonstrating consistent process control and product performance across different feed compositions and operating parameters.

In the September campaign, Aduro achieved a condensable hydrocarbon yield of 88.8% with 100% polypropylene (PP), 90.8% with an 80:20 PP/polyethylene (PE) blend, and 89.2% with a 50:50 PP/PE blend. These results are consistent with the company’s objectives and highlight the repeatability and scalability of its NGP process. The condensable hydrocarbon yield represents the recovered liquid and waxy hydrocarbon product and excludes non-condensed hydrocarbon gases.

The September campaign ran for 75 hours and processed approximately 758 kilograms of polymer across three controlled polyolefin feed compositions. This extended operating period allowed Aduro to further refine its process and equipment, with the system returning to target operating conditions approximately two hours sooner than in the comparable prior run following changes in process conditions. This improvement indicates ongoing progress in process control and operating procedures.

Aduro’s NGP pilot plant integrates industrial equipment and process controls at a pilot scale, enabling the company to test and optimize its Hydrochemolytic™ Technology (HCT) under real-world conditions. The iterative approach allows Aduro to identify and address operating constraints while evaluating the performance of the HCT reactor chemistry, product quality, and integrated system operation.

The company is using the data generated from these campaigns to inform the engineering basis for the First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) program at Chemelot. Saipem S.p.A. is advancing Early Works engineering and procurement activities for the FOAK program, receiving operating data directly from the NGP pilot plant. This direct integration ensures that the engineering basis for the FOAK plant is informed by practical operating knowledge.

Aduro’s next stage involves longer campaigns using more complex waste-plastic materials, including prospective FOAK feedstocks and materials arising through the company’s Customer Engagement Program. This progression aims to broaden the operating dataset across feedstocks relevant to both FOAK development and future application testing.

These advancements mark a significant step forward in Aduro’s efforts to develop scalable chemical recycling technologies that can transform waste plastics and other low-value feedstocks into valuable resources for the 21st century.
