The Association of Compliance and Audit Professionals (ACAP) has unveiled a new brand and expanded its reach to become a more inclusive platform for professionals in the financial services industry. This transition marks a significant evolution in the organization’s mission and scope, reflecting the changing landscape of financial services and the interconnected roles of compliance, audit, and other related fields.

ACAP, which was formerly known as AIBACP, has been serving the financial services community for over three decades. Founded in 1992, AIBACP created a robust network for audit and compliance professionals, offering opportunities for peer exchange, professional education, and relationship building. The rebranding to ACAP signifies a broader vision, aiming to connect leaders and professionals across a wider spectrum of financial services, including compliance, internal audit, risk, financial crime, technology, regulation, and governance.

Uday Gulvadi, the Board Chair of ACAP, emphasized the importance of the organization’s evolution.

The new ACAP identity includes a fresh visual identity, a redesigned website, and a digital presence that will support the organization’s expanded direction. ACAP will continue to provide a forum for professionals to connect and exchange perspectives through executive forums, educational programs, roundtables, networking events, and industry insights. The organization also plans to broaden its reach as the traditional boundaries among financial institutions, fintech, technology, professional services, and other areas of the financial ecosystem continue to evolve.

ACAP is set to roll out additional membership initiatives, programming, and events in the coming months. A formal brand launch event is scheduled for January 2027 in New York City, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s journey.

The rebranding and expansion of ACAP reflect the dynamic nature of the financial services industry and the need for professionals to collaborate and adapt to new challenges. As ACAP moves forward, it aims to continue fostering a community that is at the forefront of innovation and best practices in compliance and audit.
