Abitibi Metals Reports Strong Copper-Gold Intercepts at B26 Deposit

Abitibi Metals Corp. has announced new drilling results from its B26 Polymetallic Deposit in Québec, highlighting strong grade continuity and expanding the known mineralization. The company’s latest findings include a high-grade copper-gold zone intersected in Hole 1274-25-366-W1, which returned 1.25% copper equivalent (CuEq) over 60.2 meters, including a higher-grade interval of 3.72% CuEq over 9.2 meters. This result ranks among the strongest intercepts of the 2026 drill program at the B26 Deposit.
The Western Down-Plunge Zone (WDP) continues to grow, with Hole 1274-26-378W2 intersecting 1.45% CuEq over 14.1 meters, including a higher-grade interval of 2.21% CuEq over 5.9 meters. Hole 1274-26-378W1A returned 0.66% CuEq over 40 meters, with a higher-grade interval of 1.65% CuEq over 7.6 meters. These results support the company’s confidence in the continued growth and continuity of high-grade mineralization at B26.
Additionally, Hole 1274-26-387-W1 intersected a silver-zinc-rich interval of 0.62% CuEq over 20.6 meters, including a separate 0.68% CuEq gold-copper interval over 5.5 meters. Hole 1274-26-387-W2 returned narrow high-grade copper-gold veins, with 9.54% CuEq over 0.5 meters and 4.32% CuEq over 1.8 meters.
The company’s CEO, Jonathon Deluce, commented, "B26 continues to demonstrate the qualities of a growing, high-grade deposit. The results in today’s release continue reinforcing our confidence in the continued growth and continuity of high-grade mineralization at B26. These results, together with findings from our ongoing program, will be incorporated into a future resource update for the B26 Deposit, enhancing and derisking it as a foundation for long-term value creation."
The drilling program is expected to continue with up to three drill rigs on site for the remainder of 2026, advancing both definition and resource conversion drilling. The company is also expanding the limits of the B26 system, with the eastern extension of the Western Down-Plunge Zone demonstrating further continuity of the high-grade plunge, which could result in an increase in overall tonnage in future resource estimates.
The B26 Polymetallic Deposit is strategically located just 7 kilometers southeast of the formerly producing Selbaie Mine, providing access to key infrastructure for potential future mine development. The deposit hosts a substantial and growing resource base, with indicated resources of 12.96 million tonnes at 2.08% copper equivalent and inferred resources of 12.34 million tonnes at 2.20% copper equivalent.
