AACM launches PRP & PRF Certification Program for medical professionals

The American Academy of Cosmetic Medicine (AACM) has introduced the AACM PRP & PRF Certification Program, the top choice for medical professionals seeking comprehensive, self-paced education in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) therapies, at an affordable price of $299.

Offering accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the American Dental Association (ADA), the program is designed for licensed practitioners aiming to enhance their clinical offerings with autologous cellular medicine techniques. The course, which covers the full spectrum of PRP and PRF applications, is available entirely online and is self-paced.

Upon completion, participants will earn 3 hours of continuing medical education credits, receive one-year AACM board certification, and be granted the exclusive right to use the Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Medicine (FAACM) designation. The enrollment fee includes 180 days of unrestricted access to the course, downloadable spin guides, community support, and the option to participate in a 3-day in-person shadowing opportunity.

The curriculum of AACM's PRP & PRF course is structured to provide a deep understanding of the biological principles behind PRP and PRF treatments, including patient selection, preparation protocols, injection techniques, and safety considerations. Topics such as hair PRP and PRF injections, PRF scaffold rejuvenation, orthopedic knee injections, joint intra-articular therapy, and patient candidacy and contraindications are all covered. Students also learn to apply sterile aseptic techniques and manage clinical complications.

Dr. Javad Sajan, a plastic surgeon and AACM faculty member with 17 years of experience and more than 10,000 procedures performed, leads the course. His expertise ensures that the program offers a detailed understanding of facial anatomy, vascularity, and tissue dynamics, making it particularly relevant for healthcare professionals interested in PRP and PRF treatments in aesthetic settings.

Licensed healthcare professionals such as registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, and dentists can enroll in the course, provided their scope of practice allows them to perform the covered procedures. As with any patient care procedure, the ability to perform specific PRP treatments depends on the provider's professional license, scope of practice, and applicable state and local requirements.

The growing interest in regenerative medicine has driven a surge in demand for professional education, with many healthcare professionals comparing online PRP courses based on factors such as curriculum depth, instructor credentials, continuing education value, and practical training opportunities. AACM's program stands out with its combination of robust theoretical foundations and practical clinical guidance, making it a valuable resource for those entering the field of regenerative medicine.

As regenerative medicine continues to expand into areas such as hair restoration, aesthetics, and orthopedic care, educational programs that offer both depth and practical application remain crucial for healthcare professionals.
