A-Rosa introduces new family-friendly accommodations and pricing changes
A-Rosa River Cruises has introduced new family-friendly accommodations and pricing changes, making it easier for families to enjoy their river cruises together. Europeanbarging, a US and Canada-based booking agency for A-Rosa, highlights the enhanced family options that will be available starting in 2027.
According to the cruise line, families can now stay together in Triple Bedded Cabins on the lower deck, where children up to 15 years old travel free when accompanied by at least one supervising adult. For cruises lasting five nights or fewer, the age limit will drop to 12 years old, with children 12 to 15 paying a fixed child rate of $75 per night. For longer cruises, the rate increases to $110 per night. These rates are subject to change based on exchange rates.
A-Rosa has also expanded its offering of connecting cabins, which allow for one adult and one child per cabin, with children 15 and under cruising free. These cabins are available on several ships, including the A-Rosa Silva, Flora, Aqua on the Rhine, A-Rosa Viva on the Seine, and A-Rosa Stella on the Rhone.
The A-Rosa Sena, in particular, stands out with 10 sets of connecting cabins on deck 3, offering children 15 and under a 30% discount. Starting in 2027, the age of children cruising free on the lower deck will be 11 and under with one adult, and 15 and under with two adults.
On the upper decks, children receive a 30% discount. For instance, on the A-Rosa Sena, children up to 7 years old, accompanied by two supervising adults, can use a sofa bed free of charge in categories B to D.
Dining on A-Rosa is designed to be flexible and accommodating. There is no fixed seating or table arrangements, but guests can reserve a table for their family or group for a fee of about 5 euros per cabin per night. Meals are served buffet-style, with food stations where chefs prepare dishes in front of guests.
A-Rosa's beverage package is included in the cruise rate and includes water, soft drinks, juices, draught beer, alcohol-free pilsner, A-Rosa sparkling, red and white wine during bar opening hours, and tea, coffee, and coffee specialties at breakfast and afternoon tea. The afternoon tea offer is limited to breakfast and afternoon tea times, with coffee and included beverages available from 8 am to 11 am and 3 pm to 4 pm, respectively.
For those looking to indulge, the "Drinks Package Plus" offers unlimited cocktails, mocktails, long drinks, spritzers, wheat beer, aperitifs, tea and coffee specialties, and spirits from renowned brands. This package is available during bar opening hours and can be booked in addition to the included beverage package.
Additional amenities include 30% off spa treatments, and bicycles are available for rent on the ships. A-Rosa's ships feature cabins with windows, French balconies, saunas, whirlpools, and most have swimming pools and spa facilities.
