5W&Co Promotes Dimetrius Lopez to Senior Corporate Trainer

5W&Co, a privately owned marketing management firm based in Cleveland, Ohio, has promoted Dimetrius Lopez to Senior Corporate Trainer. The move comes as a recognition of Lopez's growth as a coach and sets the stage for his next step, the Management Interim Leadership Experience (MILE), a week-long leadership experience at the Cleveland firm.
Lopez joined 5W&Co in September 2024 after working in healthcare and staffing. Within his first year, he became a Corporate Trainer. When the company spotlighted him in October 2025, he expressed his drive to prove the doubters wrong. Since then, he has navigated through setbacks and hard conversations, learning that leadership starts with one's own habits and standards.
Founder and President Brian Ward highlighted Lopez's focus on his team as the key factor in his readiness for the new role.
Lopez views his new title as an opportunity to train leaders to lead.
Ward sees the MILE as a stage in a longer climb. Once Lopez completes it, he will work toward Team Lead and his larger goal of Assistant Manager.
Lopez is currently preparing for the MILE by focusing on the little things. He is working to become a better communicator, strengthen his ability to coach people, and hold himself to the same standards he expects from everyone else.
Lopez also wants to lead by example and build real relationships with the people he coaches.
The MILE, carried over from Ward's time in the Marine Corps, is part of the promotion path in every 5W&Co division. It involves the Senior Corporate Trainer spending a week learning new duties alongside the Assistant Manager and Manager while coaching that teammate through the work being handed off. This process is designed to develop a Team Lead Support who can take over the trainer's current responsibilities.
