500 handmade quilts transform Ashton Gardens for annual event

More than 500 handmade quilts will transform 50 acres of Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point for the eighth annual Garden of Quilts event, running from September 16 to 19, 2026. The event, presented in partnership with Riley Blake Designs, features a roster of notable quilters and designers, including Melissa Gilbert, Lori Holt, and Joanna Figueroa.

This year’s Garden of Quilts promises a visually stunning experience, with quilts hanging throughout Ashton Gardens. Guests can wander among the quilts, which will move gently in the breeze, creating a breathtaking display against the backdrop of waterfalls, flowers, and the natural landscape of Utah. The event will also offer more than 80 classes, lectures, and demonstrations, catering to a range of skill levels, alongside a free Vendor Marketplace at the Thanksgiving Point Show Barn, where visitors can find fabrics, patterns, and other quilting supplies.

Melissa Gilbert, known for her role in "Little House on the Prairie" and founder of Modern Prairie, will host the Modern Prairie Experience and Prairie Picnic. Renowned quilt designer Lori Holt will present her World of Lori Holt, while designer and founder of Fig Tree & Co., Joanna Figueroa, will share insights during An Evening with Joanna Figueroa.
