FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- 10 Federal, a leading innovator in the self-storage industry, has expanded its retail footprint in Texas with the acquisition of a 105,182-square-foot shopping center in Fort Worth. The property, located at 1701 S. Cherry Lane, is anchored by Academy Sports + Outdoors and The Picklr, and sits on nearly 11 acres in the Westgate Addition submarket.
This acquisition marks the second retail property 10 Federal has added to its portfolio in the month of September. The company previously acquired the Burlington Commons, formerly known as Eric Lane Shopping Center, in Burlington, North Carolina, on September 2.
The new shopping center in Fort Worth is part of 10 Federal's broader strategy to diversify its real estate holdings. The company currently operates 132 self-storage properties across 15 states, and this expansion into retail represents a strategic move to tap into the growing demand for necessity-oriented retail in the region.
Levin further noted that 10 Federal's established presence in Tarrant County, where the company already operates seven self-storage facilities in communities including Arlington, Lake Worth, Keller, North Richland Hills, and Azle, positions the company well for continued growth in the region. Tarrant County has experienced significant population growth in recent years, ranking among the nation's fastest-growing counties, according to USAFacts.
10 Federal, recognized as an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company in America and an Inside Self-Storage (ISS) Top 100 Operator, continues to expand beyond self-storage into complementary commercial real estate opportunities. The company's technology-enabled management platform is redefining operational efficiency in the modern self-storage industry.
